An Industrial Mathematics Internship is a way for companies and university research groups to develop strong working relationships, through engaging a dedicated postgraduate researcher to work on a specific project over a period of 3-6 months.
Industrial Mathematics Internships will increase the amount of collaborative research in mathematics, create new routes to innovation in companies and increase employability of the Interns themselves.
Through the Industrial Mathematics KTN team of Technology Translators, each Internship project will be connected to other activities of the Industrial Mathematics KTN. We believe that Industrial Mathematics Internships will become a major engine for innovation, just as they have in countries such as Canada.
For a student, the Programme provides an opportunity to learn about how businesses operate and to get a firsthand experience of working in industry. Industrial experience will enhance and widen employment opportunities both within and outside academia. Please take a look to find out about student involvement, view student testimonials and for further student information.
